Woodworm Control and Treatments

Woodworm are the larvae of wood boring beetles.  The most widespread is the Common Furniture beetle.

If left unchecked these wood boring insects will weaken the structure of a property and even damage decorative wooden objects such as furniture.

In the wild these insects play an important role and help break down decaying wood from fallen trees.

Other wood boring beetles and larvae include:

  • Death Watch beetle (Xestobium Ruffovillosum)
  • House Long Horn beetle (Hylotrupes Bajulus)
  • Powder Post beetle (Lyctus Brunneus)
